Modular Hearing Aid Featuring ZPower Battery Tech Wins Australia’s Good Design of the Year Award

Blamey Sauders hears creates modular hearing aid featuring ZPower

Award-Winning Modular Hearing Aid Features ZPower Inside!

On May 17, 2018, at the Sydney Opera House in Melbourne, Good Design Australia awarded hearing aid manufacturer Blamey Saunders hears the Good Design of the Year Award for its groundbreaking modular hearing aid featuring ZPower rechargeable batteries and charging system.

The Good Design of the Year Award, which was announced at the organization’s 60th annual ceremony, is Australia’s highest international honor in the field of design.

The hearing aid, dubbed Facett, features a groundbreaking modular design in which the hearing aid core magnetically attaches to the battery module for easy battery handling and changeout. The hearing aid comes standard with two battery modules, so that one may always be left in the charger, ensuring a continuous power supply. In addition, the charge pod doubles as a drying station for all-in-one convenience. Facett’s next-gen design addresses ease-of-use issues associated with small batteries, while also empowering the wearer with the power to self-fit and adjust through the IHearYou® system.

Facett is also the recipient of the 2018 CSIRO Award, which is given by CSIRO, the Australian government-supported organization dedicated to furthering scientific research and the application thereof.
