We’re pleased to announce that Herb Weigel has moved from his former role as Senior Vice President for Operations and Engineering into a new role as ZPower’s Chief Operating Officer.
Already Key to ZPower’s Success
Herb Weigel has been with ZPower since 2005, and was instrumental in leading our company’s transition from a research and development firm into a fully operating manufacturing company. Thanks in large part to his work over the past 13 years, ZPower is now fully supporting leading customers in the hearing aid, miniature consumer electronics and medical device industries. Weigel’s leadership has been vital in establishing protocols and oversight for the successful manufacture of high-volume, low-mix button cell batteries, and low-volume, high-mix rechargeable systems for hearing aids.
Expanded Role as Part of Exec Team
This past success and experience made Weigel the perfect fit for his new role as Chief Operating Officer. He’ll be expanding his operational responsibilities, while also rounding out ZPower’s newly restructured C-level executive leadership team. Weigel will be joining our newly appointed Chief Commercial Officer Anson Martin, alongside Chief Financial Officer Dennis Dugan and CEO Ross Dueber.
“We’re thrilled that Herb accepted the position as ZPower’s Chief Operating Officer,” said Dueber. “He understands our company and products better than anyone and has the passion, drive and experience necessary to help us grow to meet our goal of being the global leader in miniature rechargeable battery technology.”
